Premium Furnace And Air Conditioning Replacement In North Brunswick, New Jersey

We completed a full furnace and air conditioning system replacement on Miriam Drive in North Brunswick, NJ for a homeowner whose existing HVAC equipment was very old and operating on R-22 refrigerant. The project removed the outdated equipment and brought the whole system up to modern standards.

Right On Air Conditioning And Heating removed the customer’s existing furnace and air conditioner and supplied and installed a new RUUD 80% furnace paired with a 14 SEER2 air-conditioning system. The new equipment replaces the obsolete R-22 system and provides up-to-date cooling and heating performance.

As part of the furnace installation, we brought the gas and electric connections up to code. A new flue pipe was run from the furnace to the chimney to ensure proper venting. The new furnace was set on isolation blocks to reduce noise and vibration, and to provide protection from moisture on the basement floor that could cause rust.

The customer’s previous air-conditioning condensate drain had been discharged into a French drain, which was creating excess basement moisture and increasing the potential for biological growth. While installing the new furnace, we removed that condensation line and installed a new condensate pump. The pump discharges directly into a slop sink in the basement, providing reliable, direct drainage and reducing moisture in the foundation area.

Outside, the new condenser was leveled on a new 3 inch composite pad to give it a stable, long-lasting base. We also installed a new fused disconnect box and cable for the outdoor unit, meeting electrical safety requirements. A float safety switch / EZ Trap was added to the condensation line to protect against backups and water leakage down through furnace. Safety caps were installed on the outdoor condenser in accordance with code.

Throughout the job we followed code requirements and focused on practical fixes that improve safety and reliability. Raising the furnace on iso blocks helps cut down vibration and extends equipment life by keeping it away from damp floors. Routing condensate to the slop sink instead of a French drain reduces basement moisture and the associated risk of mold or other biological issues.
