Air Conditioning And Furnace Replacement in Princeton NJ
Right On Air Conditioning And Heating completed a full air conditioning and heating system replacement on Mountain Ave in Princeton, NJ. The project required removing the customer’s existing HVAC equipment and installing a new matched system to meet the home’s needs and local regulations.
We supplied and installed a RUUD 80% gas-fired furnace matched with a RUUD 13.4 SEER2 air conditioning system, including the evaporator coil and condenser. The new components were selected to work together as a matched set for reliable operation.
Because the existing outdoor condenser location no longer complied with the zoning ordinance of the Princeton municipality, we relocated the condenser to the opposite side of the house. That change required running a new copper line set from the indoor coil to the new outdoor location to maintain proper refrigerant flow.
To prepare the new condenser site, we leveled and set a new preformed condenser pad. We also supplied and installed a new electrical line from the home’s panel to the condenser, bringing the circuit up to code for the new location.
Installation included modification of the existing return and supply ductwork so the new furnace integrated correctly with the home’s ventilation. These ductwork adjustments ensured proper airflow and system balance after the new equipment was put in.
For improved indoor air quality and easy maintenance, we installed a Honeywell 4 inch media air filter. This filter provides better filtration and is simple for the homeowner to change when needed.
To protect the living space from potential condensation issues, we installed an SS2 float safety switch on the coil. If condensation backs up, the switch will deactivate the air-conditioning to prevent flooding inside the home.
We also installed a new condensate pump with tubing. The pump and tubing route condensate safely away from the equipment and structure.
Throughout the job, Right On Air Conditioning And Heating followed local code requirements and addressed the zoning constraint by relocating equipment and upgrading electrical and refrigerant lines. The work combined equipment replacement, site preparation, electrical updates, ductwork modification, and safety features to deliver a complete HVAC replacement.
